Pedestrian killed in Central Ave. hit and run

A pedestrian who was hit by a car and found injured in the road at Coors and Central Thursday morning has died, according to Albuquerque police.

Spokesman Fred Duran said officers are now looking for the vehicle that fled the scene of the crash.

“Officers do have some leads on a possible vehicle that may be responsible and are currently working to confirm this information,” he said. “Once more information is available it will be released.”

Officers have not released the gender or identity of the victim. Duran asked anyone with information about the hit and run to call 242-COPS.
