ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Here is a list of organizations and businesses sponsoring Thanksgiving meals for the homeless and those in need this week:
11 a.m. – 2 p.m., Joy Junction’s Thanksgiving meal at the Albuquerque Convention Center, Downtown. Free tickets available at area shelters for reserved meal times, but no one will be turned away.
3:30 – 4 p.m., St. Martin’s Hospitality Center, 1201 Third Street NW, sack dinner provided instead of usual evening meal.
8:30 – 9:30 a.m., Thanksgiving Day brunch, Good Shepherd Center, 218 Iron SW.
10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Thanksgiving meal at Salvation Army Temple, 501 Broadway SE.
10:30 a.m., Thanksgiving meal at St. Martin’s, 1201 Third NW.
10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m., St. Felix Pantry and McDonald’s annual Thanksgiving Day lunch, served at McDonald’s, 1390 Rio Rancho Blvd., in Rio Rancho (N.M. 528 south of Southern Blvd.).
11 a.m. – 2 p.m., Thanksgiving Day feast at Lindy’s Diner, 500 Central Ave. SW.
11 a.m.- 2 p.m., Thanksgiving meal at La Mesa Presbyterian Church, 7401 Copper NE (north of Central, east of Louisiana). Clothing will be given out at 10 a.m.
11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., Thanksgiving meal at The Rock at Noon Day, 2400 Second NW, served by Sandia Baptist Church. Buses will provide transportation to and from The Rock, starting at 10 a.m., and stopping at bus stops on Central from Broadway to Tramway, and on Lomas from Broadway to Tramway.
2 – 4 p.m., Thanksgiving dinner at Joy Junction, 4500 Second SW.
10 – 11 a.m., brunch at St. Martin’s Hospitality Center, 1201 Third NW.
