Honor young women making a difference

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Know a high school senior girl who is dedicated, compassionate and intent on creating a better world? If so, please nominate her for the 2012 Sage Making a Difference award.

The award is sponsored by Sage magazine and Coronado Shopping Center and Embassy Suites.

Winners are honored at a spring luncheon featuring a keynote address from an eminent New Mexico woman. They will be featured in the May 5 edition of the new, glossy quarterly Sage magazine, as well as on its website,, and Facebook page.

Applications must include:

• A nomination letter, about 300 words. The letter can be from a teacher, adviser, relative — someone who can describe how the young woman is making a difference.
