The message showed up during the Christmas season, when yards and homes were being decorated with lights and farolitos and Santas and Nativity scenes. Written out in cool blue lights, “peace” stretched its message on a fence along Rodeo Road.
But as Valentine’s Day approaches, the message is still there, helping calm hearts and still worries in people driving by.
After all, this is a decoration that is appropriate year-round, especially now as confrontation and chaos consume our national politics. Peace.
