Olympic athletes visits local school

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Students at Wherry Elementary School on Friday got to meet track and field Olympians and learn what it takes to become one.

Professional athletes met with the kids for the RunJumpThrow program, designed to teach basic track and field skills.
The event also promotes the opening of the USA Track & Field Indoor Championships, which continues today and Sunday at Albuquerque Convention Center, 401 Second NW.
