ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Sheriff’s deputies investigating a residential burglary are asking for the public to be on the lookout for some valuable art that was stolen.
Ten paintings were stolen from a North Valley home sometime between Feb. 12 and Feb. 15, according to Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Felicia Romero.
The total value of the stolen paintings is more than $8,000, according to Romero. Some of them were paintings the victim made herself, while others were from other artists.
Romero asked anyone with information about the paintings or burglary to call detectives at (505) 259-2909.
“The art community in the Albuquerque and Bernalillo County community is pretty close, so hopefully somebody recognizes the paintings and (the suspects) are not able to get rid of it locally,” she said.
