ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Murder suspect William “Bucky” Candler, 22, turned himself in to State Police officers at the Grants State Police office at 4 p.m. Wednesday, according to a New Mexico Department of Public Safety news release.
Candler was arrested on a warrant charging conspiracy to commit homicide, aggravated battery and tampering with evidence in connection with the death of Weston Coho in San Rafael, the release said.
Coho, 23, was found dead in the small community near Grants on March 24.
Police on Monday arrested Eloy E. Maes, 21, as a suspect in the case, charging him with homicide, aggravated battery and tampering with evidence, according to earlier reports.

A San Rafael murder suspect was arrested on Monday, but police are still searching for another man.
Investigators found Weston Coho, 23, who lives in the small town near Grants, dead early Saturday morning, according to a State Police news release. They named Eloy E. Maes, 21, as a suspect in the case and issued an arrest warrant on charges of homicide, aggravated battery and tampering with evidence.
Maes was booked into the Cibola County Adult Detention Center yesterday.
During their investigation, however, police have named a second suspect in Coho’s death, the release said.
William “Bucky” Candler III, 22, is a blond-haired, blue-eyed man who stands 5-feet-7-inches and weighs 150 pounds. He has tattoos of horns on his forehead, as well as other tattoos below his right eye, on the left side of his neck and on each side of his jaw bone.
