AURORA, Colo. — A former Colorado code enforcement officer is on probation for six months after his body camera caught him soliciting prostitutes last year.
The Aurora Sentinel reported Monday (http://bit.ly/2o78J7W ) that former Aurora Code Enforcement Officer Paul Thorne pleaded guilty March 6 to one misdemeanor count of soliciting prostitution. The district attorney’s office says Thorne will also have to complete 60 hours of community service.
Police say Thorne had called the prostitutes last December while he was on duty and was wearing a body camera during their testing phase in the department. A supervisor heard his conversations when he reviewed the tapes and asked for an investigation.
Thorne has since resigned and said that he accepts full responsibility.
