Today at the Roundhouse

Published Modified

Looking to stay on top of what’s happening at the Legislature? Here’s what to watch for on Friday, Jan. 31:

Education: The Senate Education Committee didn’t vote on anti-hazing and Board of Regents training requirements bills on Wednesday, so the measures are on the schedule again for Friday morning.

The House Education Committee is also supposed to go over the public education budget in its 9 a.m. meeting. No bills are listed on the schedule.

Cannabis: A bill to establish a cannabis enforcement bureau within the Regulation and Licensing Department is first on the schedule for the House Commerce and Economic Development Committee, slated to start at 1:30 p.m.

Floor sessions: There’s no House floor session Friday. The Senate is still meeting.

Go Aggies: It’s New Mexico State University Day at the Roundhouse. Find your fellow Aggies hosting booths at the Rotunda from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
