Small-Business Winners Named

New Mexico Small Business Week award winners will be honored at a luncheon event beginning at 11:30 a.m. May 1 at the Hotel Albuquerque in Old Town at 800 Rio Grande NW in Albuquerque.

Family Owned Small Business of the Year Luis Gonzalez, president, and Jorge Fernando Gonzalez, vice president, of Sequoia Landscaping Inc. in Albuquerque.
Exporters of the Year Carlos Perea, CEO, and Ioana Engstrom, director of international sales, of MIOX Corp. in Albuquerque.
Young Entrepreneur of the Year Jack T. Vigil, president & CTO, of Harmonix Technologies Inc. in Albuquerque.
Home-Based Business Champion of the Year Debbie Maestas-Traynor of Maestas Consulting in Albuquerque.
Financial Services Champion of the Year Lt. Gov. Diane O. Denish. She was also selected as a regional winner.
