Array Technologies taps chief revenue officer
A former leader of First Solar, an Arizona-based, publicly traded solar energy company, has joined Array Technologies as its chief revenue officer.
Darin Green on Monday was named chief revenue officer of North America for Array, the Albuquerque-based company that manufactures products for utility-scale solar energy projects.
Green will report directly to Array CEO Kevin Hostetler, who said Green's expertise in aligning global commercial strategies with customer needs will be crucial for Array.
“His extensive experience in the renewable energy space and his passion for customer-centric growth makes him an excellent addition to ARRAY’s leadership team," Hostetler said in a statement.
Green most recently worked for 14 years at First Solar, including as the head of global allocation and strategy.
He will oversee Array's North America revenue-generating activities, including sales, business development and strategic partnerships. He will focus on top-line growth and expanding Array's market presence, among other responsibilities.
The hire was one of two recent leadership changes at Array, which has plans to significantly increase its manufacturing presence in Albuquerque. On Monday, Keith Jennings took over as the company's new chief financial officer.
Array in April broke ground on a 216,000-square-foot facility that will employ more than 300 people and have a $300 million economic impact over the next decade, according to Array officials. At the facility, the company will manufacture Array's solar tracker technology products. One of the company's areas of expertise is developing solar panels that can move to more efficiently capture sun rays or avoid damaging hail strikes.
During an earnings call in November, Hostetler reported $231.4 million in revenue in the third quarter, which was in the upper half of the company's guidance range.
Array, which is traded on the Nasdaq Stock Market, was trading at $6.85 per share on Tuesday.
“I am excited to join Array at such a pivotal moment in the company’s growth,” Green said. “I look forward to working closely with the team to strengthen ARRAY’s commercial capabilities, enhance our market presence and drive sustainable growth for the future.
