Daiken Applied acquires Varitec Solutions

Daiken Applied announced last week it acquired Varitec Solutions, which designs, develops and installs heating, ventilation and cooling systems and has an office in Albuquerque, at 8420 Washington NE.

The company is based in Phoenix and works across the Southwest. It has 170 employees in Phoeniz and Tuscon, Arizona, Albuquerque, El Paso, Texas, and surrounding areas.

This acquisition is a testament to the legacy the company has built and that we will continue to grow together.”

Parker Center event to touch on venture capital in family-owned businesses

The Parker Center for Family Business this week will host Jordan Clancy, a managing partner of the New Mexico Vintage Fund, for a keynote speech on how venture capital could play a bigger role in family-owned businesses.

The event will take place on Oct. 17 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at 5051 Journal Center NE on the first floor. Registration isn’t required but attendees can email Linda Parker, the Parker Center’s cofounder and board chair, at LParker@rsabq.com
