Falafel on the go? There’s a new quick-service Greek restaurant in Albuquerque.
Gyro Shack announced Wednesday that its second restaurant in Albuquerque, at 4201 San Mateo NE, was open.
The restaurant has a drive-thru where customers can scoop up gyros, falafel, salads and rice bowls. Gyro Shack, which is based in Boise, Idaho, already had a location at 2100 Eubank NE.
“We hope to continue and win the hearts of locals in Albuquerque by filling the void of gyros in the market,” Jack Carrigan, the franchisee of Gyro Shacks in Albuquerque, said in a news release. “Gyro Shack is continually seeking new sites in the Southwestern U.S. and hopes to sign additional leases soon.”
The restaurant chain is looking for more franchise partners.
“Our food sells itself. Being the front-runner in an up-and-coming segment such as quick-service Mediterranean creates both opportunities and challenges,” said Seth Brink, the president of Gyro Shack.
