Workforce development centers in New Mexico are being rebranded to align with the America’s Job Center network.
New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions Cabinet Secretary Sarita Nair is traveling to the southeast corner of the state this week to unveil new names and logos. On Wednesday, she was in Hobbs, where the workforce center was named America’s Job Center Hobbs.
She’ll do the same for similar workforce centers in Artesia and Roswell on Thursday.
“The new name for the local offices connects New Mexico to a nationwide network and emphasizes our mission to assist individuals with finding the right career and businesses with finding the talent they need to succeed,” Nair said in a prepared statement. “While the name and look have evolved, the dedication to serving New Mexicans remains unchanged and stronger than ever.”
The transition to the new name and logo will take place at all the state’s 25 workforce centers in the coming months.
Some of the services offered at the center include job training, youth career exploration, job fairs, help with programs during natural disasters and assistance with unemployment insurance claims and tax issues, among other services.
