According to research by real estate company portlandrealestate.com, the national average number of days to sell a house is 42.
In New Mexico, the average it takes to sell your home is 55 days — which ties the state in fourth with Florida — on the list of median days on the market, according to a news release.
The top 10 states ranked from longest median house sale price to shortest are:
1. Hawaii — 65 days
2. Louisiana — 60 days
3. Mississippi — 58 days
4. New Mexico — 55 days
4. Florida — 55 days
5. New York — 54 days
6. North Dakota — 52 days
