Crash causes major delays on I-25, snow stops bus service in parts of Albuquerque
I-25 southbound at Bobby Foster
A crash has closed all lanes on southbound Interstate 25 at Bobby Foster around 3 p.m. Thursday, according to the New Mexico Department of Transportation.
Drivers can expect major delays and should seek an alternate route.
Winter weather is also impacting traffic along I-25 and eastbound on I-40 as far west as Pennsylvania NE.
NMDOT reminds drivers to reduce speed and use caution as roads are wet, icy and black ice may exist as the temperatures drop.
The city of Albuquerque has announced ABQ RIDE's ART service will not continue past Louisiana NE.
ART services will continue to the Uptown Transit Center and return west to the central and Unser Transit Center on West Central, a news release said.
"Passengers waiting for ART service east of Louisiana are advised to walk toward a Route 66 bus stop to be picked up," the release said.
The release added these detours will be in effect until further notice, as ABQ RIDE continues to monitor the weather conditions.
The city reminds riders they can download the TransitApp for information on the delays. Customers can also call 505-243-7433 (RIDE) or visit cabq.gov/transit for information.

Snow started falling in the metro area mid-morning on Thursday and accumulated to just over 1 inch around 5 p.m. at the National Weather Service in Albuquerque, according to meteorologist Clay Anderson.
Anderson said the Westside reported 2 inches.
Anderson said earlier reports of snowfall were up to 7 inches at Fenton Lake State Park.
Anderson added the snow will end later tonight across eastern New Mexico, but "we have a little disturbance coming through Friday night and Saturday morning" in the northern parts of the state.
"The earliest I think the metro area could be impacted by snow (again) would be on Sunday," Anderson said. "And more so Sunday night and early Monday morning with the next system coming through."
Anderson said the weather is "well below normal across the majority of the area," hoovering in the upper 30s to the lower 40s. The chill weather will continue into the weekend, with a breeze out of the northwest.
