Another dimension: Meow Wolf is expanding its universe

The Meow Wolf universe will soon be opening deep in the heart of Texas.

Meow Wolf announced that its newest permanent immersive exhibition, "Radio Tave," will open its doors on Oct. 31, in Houston's historic Fifth Ward.

"Houston is a powerhouse of creativity and our artists and collaborators have been channeling that electric energy into this exhibition for years," said Jose Tolosa, CEO of Meow Wolf, in a statement. "They've taken it to the next level, capturing the city's vibrancy in every corner of the experience. We can't wait for you to step inside and explore it for yourself."

"Radio Tave" is an explorable radio station that will transmit visitors to unexpected frequencies and propel guests into the next chapter of the ever-expanding Meow Wolf Universe, according to a Meow Wolf news release. Visitors will step into an exhibition where an entire radio station has been transported to another dimension, revealing a labyrinth of paths, portals and hidden doors, all filled with interactive mysteries for guests to solve.

The space features dozens of rooms that were designed by more than 100 artists, which included more than 50 artists based in Texas.

"The visuals and soundscapes of 'Radio Tave' are on another level," said Susie Cowan, senior creative producer of Meow Wolf, in a statement. "Visitors will be immersed in a rich, multisensory experience that invites them to explore a world that feels both vast and deeply personal."

"Radio Tave" introduces a cast of new characters and nods to familiar themes and appearances from figures in the Meow Wolf universe that fans have come to love. The exhibition features a cowboy dive bar and restaurant, venue space and a gift shop as part of the experience.

It will be open every day of the week to allow visitors an opportunity to explore the unparalleled art wonderland.

Houston Portal Passes, Meow Wolf’s annual season passes that offer year-long access to the exhibition, are now available for purchase. Presale tickets for all Portal Pass holders will be available on Sept. 17. Presale tickets for Meow Wolf email subscribers go on sale on Sept. 24. Guests can sign up for the Meow Wolf newsletter for this early access. On Oct. 1, general public ticket sales open and visitors can choose their preferred arrival time based on ticket availability.

"Radio Tave" is Meow Wolf's fifth interactive art experience in the country. Meow Wolf opened the “House Of Eternal Return” at 1352 Rufina Circle in Santa Fe in 2016. It has since opened “Omega Mart” (2021) in Las Vegas, Nevada; “Convergence Station” (2021) in Denver; and “The Real Unreal” in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex in Texas.
