Come for a day of digital detox.

Podcasters Sam and Elliot Archuleta of “Something More Human” are inviting listeners to a phone-free evening of human connections at Fusion 708 on Friday, April 19.

The couple are challenging the digital status quo with an evening to make contacts, enjoy food and mocktails, sprinkled with entertainment.

Collaborators will include Novel Point Coffee, the bakery ABQ Crumb, Mocksicated (an alcohol-free podcast), professional makeup artist Leah Sivage and comedian Zach Abeyta. A live giveaway, craft coffee and pastries are included.

The giveaway partners include Flyby Provisions corporate gifts, Lost Cultures Tea Bar, Puzzled ABQ, Mocksicated and makeup by Leah Sivage.Winners are asked to regift their prize to another attendant.

A workshop from the Joy of Being wellness studio will open to participants.

“This is a community event,” Sam Archuleta said. “There’s only so much you can do in a podcast. We think people are tired of their phones. We’re more connected than ever, yet we’re isolated and lonely.”
