Fans can see classic Hot Wheels toys like Mega Wrex, Tiger Shark, HW 5-Alarm, Bone Shaker and Bigfoot and more, along with new monster truck Skelesaurus, which will be in Albuquerque for the first time.

The trucks, which are created to be exact replicas of the Hot Wheels trucks, are not only at Tingley Coliseum for show. The trucks will face off one-on-one in classic monster truck show fashion, as well as take part in group battles where monster trucks compete in a battle royale to see who takes the glory.

Richison said each truck is handmade and is a one-of-a-kind creation.

“They are themed after those same trucks that Hot Wheels make for kids to play with, so the fiberglass bodies on the trucks are the same that you’re going to see on those toys, but they are true race machines that are built specific ground up,” she said. “They’re not trucks you’ll go buy in a showroom, they’re all made by hand.”

This year, the theme of the show is “Glow-N-Fire,” an immersive experience that adds an explosive element to the show. Fans will be able to see monster trucks battle beneath heavy flames and watch the trucks glow in the dark against the darkness of Tingley Coliseum.

Fans will be able to get up-close and personal with the Hot Wheels trucks during the “Go Big! Go Hot Wheels! Go Crash Zone/Power Smashers Pre-Show Party.” The preshow event allows fans to see some of the trucks they will watch during the live Glow Party event.

“All the trucks are on the floor so all the fans can get up close to the trucks and kids love getting next to a 15-feet tall monster truck and see how big they are,” Richison said.

Fans will also be able to meet the monster truck drivers and receive an autograph from them.

Tickets are available online, but Hot Wheels Monster Truck Live wanted to give fans a chance to buy tickets at the box office prior to the shows, which is why they’ll be manning the booth.

“We know that it’s a family-friendly event and people like to come up and buy a ticket,” Richison said. “Not everybody likes to buy online, and it’s a big portion of our sales, and so we try to be as family-friendly as possible.”

Hot Wheels Monster Truck Live wants fans of all ages to come to the show and watch their favorite toys battle it out as large monster trucks.

“Kids love trucks and it’s a great family experience for people to get together and really enjoy family time and kids are wowed by the fact that these trucks are larger than life,” Richison said. “It’s just really good family fun entertainment.”
