Comedian Jo Koy is bringing his “Just Being Koy Tour” to the Rio Rancho Events Center at 8 p.m. Friday, March 21. Tickets are $44.50-$84.50, plus fees, at ticketmaster.com. The events center is located at 3001 Civic Center Circle NE in Rio Rancho.

Happy 100

The Special Collections Library is turning 100. The 1925 building was once home to Albuquerque's Old Main Library. From 1:30-2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 22, you can catch the documentary premiere of "Special Recollections: The Story of the Old Main Library, 1925-2025." Then from 3-5 p.m. Le Chat Lunatique is bringing you its brand of jazz in a concert performance at the library. Visitors can also enjoy displays, an art show and more. The Special Collections Library is located at 423 Central Ave. NE.

Bach in action

The New Mexico Performing Arts Society is bringing you the annual New Mexico Bach Society Concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 22, at Sante Fe’s Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 107 Barcelona Road; and at 5:30p.m. Sunday, March 23, at Hope in the Desert Episcopal Church, 8700 Alameda Blvd. NE. The program includes J.S. Bach’s Bach’s Cantata BWV 21, along with the world premiere of a commissioned work by Aaron Alter. Tickets are $10-$65, plus fees, at holdmyticket.com.

Here comes K.Flay

Multiplatinum artist K.Flay, aka Kristine Flaherty, is coming to Albuquerque for two concert events on Tuesday, March 25. K.Flay will be at the Central & Unser Library, 8081 Central Ave. NW, “Celebrating the Power of Books” with a free solo performance and Q&A at noon. You can reserve a seat at tickets.ampconcerts.org. Then, K.Flay will play the Sunshine Theater with Vienna Vienna at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $27, plus fees, at tickets.ampconcerts.org. Sunshine Theater is located at 120 Central Ave. SW.

Championship challengers

The finals of the Chicharra Poetry Slam Festival take the stage of the South Broadway Cultural Center at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 22. Tickets are $10-$25 at artsandculture.cabq.gov. The cultural center is located at 1025 Broadway Blvd. SE.

Where the wild things are

Learn more about the animals we share a home with in Albuquerque during the Urban Wildlife Fiesta! The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 22. At the ABQ BioPark Botanic Garden learn how to create a native wildlife refuge in your backyard, discover which species visit the Petroglyph National Monument and more. Then, at Tingley Beach, take a guided tour of the bosque departing at 10 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. The event is included with the price of admission to the Botanic Garden, $5-$19.50 at cabq.gov/artsculture, free for children 2 and under. The Botanic Garden is located at 2601 Central Ave. NW, and Tingley Beach is located at 1800 Tingley Drive SW.
