Jurassic Quest brings traveling show to teach all about dinosaurs
Dinosaurs have always piqued Park Ranger Marty’s interest.
That curiosity explains why he is now a dinosaur expert with Jurassic Quest.
The traveling show showcases the world of dinosaurs from various points of view. Guests attending a show will have an opportunity to ride a dino, explore a bounce house, view some fossils, create a dino craft, meet some baby dinos and walk among the animatronic dinosaurs.
For three days, the tour will set up at the Albuquerque Convention Center. The event runs 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10 and Saturday, Nov. 11 and 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12. Tickets for the show run $19-$36, plus fees, at tickets.jurassicquest.com.
Park Ranger Marty is one of many people involved with Jurassic Quest.
He was born in Indianapolis and has spent most of his life fascinated by dinosaurs.
He has continued over the years to learn more and more about these amazing animals.
Since April 2016, Park Ranger Marty has been teaching and entertaining people of all ages about dinosaurs and other prehistoric life forms at Jurassic Quest.
With a long background in stand-up and improv comedy, he keeps learning about dinosaurs fun and engaging, whether at the fossil table, or on one of his one of a kind dinosaur exhibit tours.
He’s also in charge of the Dinosaur Hotline and fields questions from actual visitors to the show.
“When someone calls the hotline, they actually get questions answered by me,” he says. “I focus on the hotline as well as videos for Jurassic Quest. I get few opportunities to travel with the show these days.”
Park Ranger Marty says the traveling show is for “dinosaur fans of all ages.”
While the exhibit puts a focus on ages 2-10, he says there’s plenty to do for older children and their parents.
“I’ve had some adults sit with me at the fossil desk and we’ll talk about dinosaurs for a few hours,” he says. “The interest level does affect the experience.”
