Bookworks to host author Meg Mullins on March 3

Published

AT BOOKWORKS

Albuquerque author Meg Mullins will read from and sign copies of her latest short story collection, “We Are All Having Fun Here,” at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 3.

A description of the book on the store’s website says the stories in the collection are “without fear or judgment, each story unlocks a door to something hidden, toeing the line between discomfort and relatability.”

The collection explores such subjects as girlhood, grief and intimacy that push against assumptions and break boundaries.

Mullins’ previous books — all acclaimed novels — were “The Rug Merchant,” “Dear Strangers” and “This Is How I’d Love You.”

The bookstore is located at 4022 Rio Grande Blvd. NW.

AT BOOKS ON THE BOSQUE

“Kinship Medicine” explores the effect our relationship to nature has on our well-being and health. Johnson provides evidence drawn from public health, sociology, anthropology, human ecology and her own experience as a family physician.

She practices family and addiction medicine for El Centro Family Health in northern New Mexico and holds a faculty appointment at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine’s Department of Family and Community Medicine.

SOMOS Salon is located at 108 Civic Plaza Drive in Taos.
