New Mexico Department of Game and Fish to hold duck hunting camp for women

 

The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish, in conjunction with Safari Club International Foundation, is holding a duck hunting camp for women on Jan. 16-18 at Caballo Lake State Park.

The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish, in conjunction with Safari Club International Foundation, is holding a duck hunting camp for women Jan. 16-18 at Caballo Lake State Park.

The camp is open to women age 18 and older who have experience shooting a shotgun or bird hunting.

Participants will learn how to identify ducks, learn duck hunting rules and regulations, receive a hunter safety refresher, practice clay-target shooting and learn how to field dress a duck. 

Registration opens at 8 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29, at wildlife.dgf.nm.gov. There will be a mandatory orientation for participants via Zoom at 6 p.m. Jan. 12.
