Newly constructed campground to open at Coyote Creek State Park
The New Mexico State Parks Division is opening a newly constructed campground at Coyote Creek State Park on Saturday, March 28.
The new campground includes the first cabin accommodations in the division’s 93-year history. The campground includes five RV sites with modern shelters, electricity and water hookups, and has one accessible site.
The new Aserradero Loop has five new cabins, with one that is fully accessible, and all cabins include electric power, interior lighting, wood stoves and a dedicated water hydrant.
The cabins and new RV sites will be available for reservation starting April 1 at newmexicostateparks.reserveamerica.com.
The total project cost was $3,873,585, including $1,675,000 in funds from the Land and Water Conservation Fund and $2,198,585 in state funding.
