Police are investigating after one person was shot to death and two others hospitalized with gunshot wounds after a shooting early Saturday morning in a neighborhood just west of Coors NW.

Officers were dispatched around 2 a.m. to the area of 65th and Milne NW where they discovered one person dead and two other injured with gunshot wounds, said Albuquerque Police Department spokesman Chase Jewell in a statement.

He said the two injured people have been taken to a local hospital in an unknown condition.

Jewell added the Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation and more details will be released as they become available.
