There is no need to quack up, the baby ducks are fine.

At about 6 p.m. Sunday, Albuquerque Fire Rescue had finished taking a patient to a local hospital when Animal Welfare informed them of baby ducks inside a storm drain near the University of New Mexico’s Duck Pond, causing the momma duck to be in a “fowl mood,” according to an AFR social media post.

Firefighters Jonathan Martinez and James Ortega removed the storm drain cover, “ducked” into the drain and rescued the ducklings, which were reunited with their mom. The ducks were last seen “waddling west toward the Duck Pond,” according to AFR.
