An unidentified person was killed during a police shooting in Farmington Tuesday morning.

Police were dispatched around 9:30 a.m. to the 1100 block of Hines Road after receiving a call that a domestic violence incident had occurred, according to a news release from Shanice Gonzales, spokesperson for the Farmington Police Department.

The person — who FPD did not immediately identify — was armed, Gonzales said.

“An officer-involved shooting occurred, and the suspect was pronounced deceased at the scene,” Gonzales said.

No officers were injured during the shooting.

Gonzales said the suspect’s name and the officers’ identities are being withheld and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
