Armed suspect killed in Farmington police shooting
No officers were injured, authorities say
An unidentified person was killed during a police shooting in Farmington on Tuesday morning.
Officers were dispatched around 9:30 a.m. to the 1100 block of Hines Road in response to a domestic violence incident, according to a news release from Shanice Gonzales, spokesperson for the Farmington Police Department.
The person involved in the incident— who FPD did not immediately identify — was armed, Gonzales said.
"An officer-involved shooting occurred, and the suspect was pronounced deceased at the scene," Gonzales said.
No officers were injured.
Gonzales said the suspect's name and the officers' identities are being withheld, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
