Crime Stoppers seeks info on fatal hit-and-run in NE Albuquerque
An unidentified woman was killed after being hit by a vehicle in Northeast Albuquerque Friday evening.
At about 7:30 p.m., the Albuquerque Police Department responded to a call of a crash involving a pedestrian in the area of Comanche and Wellesley NE.
When officers arrived, a woman’s body was found in an eastbound lane on Comanche, APD spokesperson Gilbert Gallegos said. There were no witnesses, he said, but a person told police they heard tire “screeching” before seeing the body.
Another person told police they saw an older white sedan driving east on Comanche after hearing the crash, according to Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers Coordinator Alicia Hernandez .
Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at 505-843-STOP (7867), p3tips.com/531 or text “ABQCS” to 738477, she said.
“Any information on this incident will help,” Hernandez said.
