Albuquerque Comic Con roared into the Duke City last weekend.

Fans and fantasy took over the Albuquerque Convention Center, where large crowds were seen Friday through Sunday at the annual event.

Guest stars included KISS’s bassist and co-lead singer, Gene Simmons, known for his stage persona, "the Demon" and actor, Alan Tudyk, known for his role in "Resident Alien." The line to get inside on Saturday at 10 a.m. wrapped around the convention center. According to convention staff, Saturday and Sunday were completely sold out, with approximately 54,000 fans in attendance throughout the three days.

Local residents of all ages became the canvas of characters, with many observed wearing costumes from their favorite shows during the event.
