Man found slain in Southwest Albuquerque
Bernalillo County deputies found a man dead Friday afternoon in the South Valley.
Connor Otero, a spokesperson for the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office, said deputies responded around 4 p.m. to the area of Second and Desert SW "in reference to a reported shooting with a victim."
"Upon arrival, deputies located an adult male," he said. "Despite life-saving efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene."
Otero said the man was identified as 65-year-old Michael Adams.
"This incident is being investigated as a homicide. Detectives are actively working the case, and no additional information is available at this time," Otero said.
He said anyone with information on the incident is asked to call BCSO at (505) 468-7277 or submit tips anonymously through Tip 411.
