New roadwork begins on major roadways in Albuquerque
The New Mexico Department of Transportation has added three new roadwork projects to its NM roads map.
The first project, on Interstate 40 east and westbound at mileposts 160 through 163 near Carlisle NE, will have various lane closures and shoulder restrictions as well as detours and ramp closures. The work will take place mainly at night, and there will be some weekend work as well, as teams work to mill and inlay, the website stated.
This project is expected to run through September 30.
The work at Paseo Del Norte and Eagle Ranch NW at milepost 2.3 through 2.7 is for commercial development. Drivers should expect various shoulder and lane restrictions and delays.
This project is expected to run through August 31.
Cable barrier maintenance work has started at Interstate 25 northbound milepost 245 through 250 near El Llanito. Drivers can expect left lane and shoulder closures causing delays.
This project is expected to run through August 11.
