Pedestrian killed in crash that closed roads in NW Albuquerque

Police are investigating a crash that resulted in the death of a pedestrian Monday afternoon in the Eagle Ranch area, according to the Albuquerque Police Department.

Around 2 p.m. officers were called to the intersection of Paseo Del Norte and Eagle Ranch NW where a pedestrian was killed, prompting road closures as well as delays on Coors and Paseo NW, said APD Spokesman Gilbert Gallegos in a statement.

Gallegos said homicide detectives were called to the scene to investigate the incident and "all parties involved in the incident have been detained for questioning."

The identity of the man who was killed has not yet been released, and Gallegos urges drivers to avoid the area until further notice.
