Protest in Albuquerque against attack in Venezuela: Photos
More than 70 protesters marched from Robinson Park, their chants ringing down Central Avenue as they made their way to Civic Plaza for the “No War on Venezuela” rally in Downtown Albuquerque on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026.
This demonstration, one of many erupting nationwide, ignited in response to the U.S. strike on Caracas and the capture of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores. Organized by the Southwest Solidarity Network and activists from the Party for Socialism and Liberation, the rally united voices demanding an end to U.S. imperialism and denouncing the actions as an illegal act of war not authorized by Congress.
