Let’s review. We are losing our allies. Nobody will ever trust us again. Nobody will ever believe us again. The people in charge are breaking any laws they want. CONGRESS is doing nothing to stop this, and prices are still going up, especially health insurance. What a bargain. JH

President Trump has been BLOWING UP BOATS in the Caribbean that he says may be narcotraffickers. But recently he pardoned the president of Honduras who had been sentenced to 45 years in prison for trafficking hundreds of tons of cocaine into the U.S. There is something wrong here. EJG

Trump is lying about Venezuela's drugs (e.g., each boat sunk saves 25,000 lives) to get VENEZUELA'S OIL. Why are congressional Republicans allowing him to blow up little boats and factories and steal oil tankers. His malignant narcissism and dementia will lead to war with many American deaths. RP

History has shown time and again that it costs more to "run" another country than the effort pays back in resources or influence. If we are worried about waste, fraud and abuse of government funds, the worst thing we could do is engage in regime change in VENEZUELA. ST

So, Trump now has MADURO in custody on charges of narcoterrorism drug trafficking that "flooded the U.S. with cocaine." The boat bombings/killings were all about fentanyl. Is this a typographical error? After all, he just pardoned the ex-president of Honduras who was convicted of massive cocaine trafficking to the U.S. ML

Trump has pathetic priorities. He refused to fund SNAP benefits to help poor Americans. He refuses to provide money to help Americans afford health insurance. But he has plenty of money to spend on military operations in VENEZUELA to enrich American oil tycoons. So much for caring for working people. AF

In 12 short years Maduro destroyed Venezuela with SOCIALISM. He was voted in and had to be violently taken out. NYC just voted in the same type of mayor. We can only hope it won’t take 12 years to get him out. KP

Regarding the censure of MARK KELLY: Threatening a retired veteran's rank and benefits for stating what's in the Uniform Code of Military Justice is not only ridiculous and a waste of time and tax dollars, it is an affront to veterans and an attack on free speech. Stop this nonsense. KE

New Mexicans need to give a big "thank you!" to President Trump. In addition to removing fraudulent recipients of Medicaid, his "One, Big, Beautiful Bill" will boost access to HEALTH CARE in rural New Mexico. Definitely a "win-win" for New Mexico's families! SV

According to the Washington Post, the State of N.M. has the fifth highest SNAP (food stamps) error rate of 14.5%. Arizona and Texas are both below the national average of 10.9% at 8.8% and 8.3%, respectfully. N.M. has a long history of incompetently managing state programs. WT

"Still having a lot of work to do" is problematic considering that KELLER had eight years to fix the homeless problem. Truth be told, politicians need problems in order to maintain power. That is why if there are no problems to fix, they create them in order to fix them. GH

PRIVATE FOR-PROFIT PRISONS negotiated in private are just as evil as private health insurance, both of which should never be run on a for-profit basis. Closed door negotiations provides cover for bribes and other incentives. These negotiations should be open to the public. EN

Regarding the UNIVERSAL CHILD CARE executive order. Let's say you're a hard-working couple making 100K per year. Part of your taxes will now pay for child care for another family with 400K income. Hardly sounds fair. Another benefit for the states wealthy. SW

It is time to return to the prior 1977 rule that LAWYERS advertising for clients is unethical. We are awash in attorney ads on our TV and surely it's a big payoff to the TV company rather than the lawyer's clients. CE

It's good that Israelis who survived the attack by Hamas are getting help to deal with their trauma. I wonder if anyone even cares about the trauma inflicted on PALESTINIANS from this war? This is no different than what Assad did to Syrians with the help of Russia. DLP

Every society based on "REVEALED TRUTH" (religious, economic or otherwise) is doomed to failure. Absolute ideology is ripe for corruption and theft masquerading as patriotism. The only base for stability and growth involves some sort of republic that recognizes its own imperfections and strives for improvements. RC
