President Donald Trump works to derail CLEAN ENERGY when we need it most. With surging demand from data centers, the need for plentiful, affordable power has never been higher. Yet Trump sidelines renewables to boost the fossil fuel industry. We pay in higher bills, dirtier air and worsened climate impacts. BDS

Natural gas is up over 30% so far this year, which means a huge sticker shock on our next gas bill. Since we stopped the WEST MESA LNG facility last year we could be enjoying cheap gas during this cold snap. Another example of short-sighted New Mexicans. EH

Regarding Trump's Davos visit statement about Greenland, "We want a piece of ice for world protection, and they won't give it," let's remember that his ICE AGENTS daily threaten the safety and security of Americans with unlawful raids, assaults, property damage, shootings and death. How about safety at home first? ML

It’s interesting that the PAID PROTESTORS claim to be terrified of ICE agents, yet constantly chase, taunt and harass the federal agents who have been charged with the duty of capturing some very dangerous people illegally in America. SS

What is being done in Minnesota to protect CHURCHGOERS from anti-ICE attacks? The FACE law is not being enforced by Mayor Frey and Governor Walz. When will these criminals be arrested and jailed like the Jan. 6 trespassers? If the mayor and governor can't do it who can, FBI, ICE? JMW

Texas and Florida have a lot more undocumented immigrants than Minnesota. Shouldn’t ICE be snatching 5-year-olds there? Oh, silly me. Those are red states run by sycophants. JH

The name of the IMMIGRANT SAFETY ACT bill certainly says it all. Criminals, regardless of race or immigration status, should not be allowed to roam our streets. When law enforcement isn't allowed to arrest these criminals, chaos ensues, as seen in Minneapolis. What about my rights as a legal citizen? LR

ICE took/holds a 5-YEAR-OLD BOY in custody just to bait his father. They sent him to Texas. That seems to be extreme child abuse and ICE agents should be arrested for that action. ICE needs to be stopped and held accountable. CM

Federal taxpayers have already paid for the billions of dollars of FRAUD in Minnesota. Why must taxpayers also pay for ICE, a federal agency, to protect the residents of this state from the consequences of their sanctuary city/state laws? ICE should leave. Minnesotans can deal with the fallout. MM

Seems a bit hypocritical and TWO-FACED when Trump says the Minnesota Democratic governor and mayor are "inciting insurrection with their pompous, dangerous and arrogant rhetoric." Is this not the same thing he did on Jan. 6 in our nation's capital? DD

For years, the loudest defenders of the SECOND AMENDMENT have argued that carrying a gun is a protected right, not a presumption of guilt. Yet when someone is killed because they were carrying legally, suddenly the narrative flips. LM

POTUS appears to be MENTALLY ILL. Others more qualified than me have said it and even wrote a book. The man needs help. He's becoming increasingly erratic and unpredictable. You can't run a country based on chaos, hubris and persecuting anyone who disagrees with you. It won't end well. MY

The only place safe from Trump's lawfare banana republic prosecutions is on the EPSTEIN list. BF

In a prerecorded message for the annual MARCH FOR LIFE, President Trump encouraged participants and called for a renewed respect for life in American culture. This is the man responsible for maybe 75 deaths during the recent raid in Venezuela and 100+ more in the attacks on "drug boats." EJG

When it comes to government handouts nothing is free, including CHILD CARE. We all pay for it at some point. Democrats scream about affordability and yet continue to increase the cost of government which makes living here unaffordable. Call this what it is — welfare, which always picks winners and losers. For the proposed Albuquerque-themed MONOPOLY game, instead of a Get Out of Jail Free card, how about a Spin Through Our Revolving Door? Or a Slap on the Wrist? And instead of the Go to Jail penalty, how about an Unmonitored Ankle Bracelet or an Officer No-Show for a DWI? JL

The blatant conflict of interest in the state Senate JUDICIARY COMMITTEE is unreal. Chairman Sen. Joseph Cervantes and Sen. Katy Duhigg, both medical malpractice attorneys, do not recuse themselves from voting on medical malpractice reform, an obvious violation of basic ethics. Shame on them. SS

Health care is a right for all Americans. We should have a SINGLE-PAYER system in the federal government. Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Canada have excellent free health care and of course their taxes pay for it. The health care industry is lobbying Congress too hard with cash. EN

If UNM wants $50 million to transfer UNIVERSITY STADIUM into a "year-round, multi-use destination," why not find a way for New Mexico United to share it? There are three pairs of NFL and MSL teams that currently share a stadium. BV
