US Olympic athletes have a right to say what they want to say about what is going on in the US. It's their right of free speech. The president lies whenever he wants to lie as it is his nature. EN

So I don't understand why ICE agents wear masks. Typically, State Police officers don't wear masks. Sheriffs and their deputies don't wear masks. Highway patrolmen don't wear masks. City and county policemen don't wear masks. TSA agents don't wear masks. Why ICE? EJG

The greatest danger to America's future, and continued existence, comes from Trump's self-serving opportunism masquerading as patriotism. BB

It is so obvious that New Mexico Democrats are trying to hide something in their flamboyant refusal to support voter ID and to make sure that only US citizens vote. If an ID is required to cash a check or buy cannabis, what is wrong with requiring one to vote? GH

The anniversary of the adoption of the 25th Amendment was Feb. 10. Its provisions for presidential succession due to disability need to be applied ASAP. Trump is clearly deranged and is a threat to the country. BH

Trump is now insulting our Olympic athletes just because they happen to disagree with some of his actions/policies? Is this still a democracy? Or are we evolving into something considerably more sinister? GS

Come on Mr. President don't slam our USA athletes by calling them losers. They have dedicated their lives to represent the US. I guess if you support him they are winners. Your comments indicated you consider everyone who doesn't agree with you a loser. Look in a mirror. ECH

Progressive Democrats have made their agenda clear. First, they pass legislation to prevent detention of undocumented immigrants. Then, they pass legislation that infringes on the Second Amendment rights of law abiding citizens. Only laws that align with their political agenda are valid and should be enforced. LRS

So, our state Legislature is trying to infringe on our rights again and we the people will have to take them to court to reaffirm our rights — again. What part of "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed" is unclear? MS

POTUS' "monkeying around' video may be the most racist thing he's ever done. He's done more than enough in the past to bolster his racist creds. He keeps showing us who he is and I believe my eyes if not usually my ears. This can't be who we are. MY

My wife and I at 87 have raised four children without any government assistance. Now MLG is demanding that I help raise all the children of NM. Enough is enough, parents of NM children, they are your responsibility, you raise them. JPB

Hmm. The NM Senate just OK'd $92 million for revitalization of the fairgrounds. Interesting since there hasn't even been a decision on what to do with the fairgrounds. The proverbial cart just got put in front of the horse. JP

Neither the government nor Meta is responsible for parenting children. That is solely a parent's responsibility. New Mexico has, for decades, been taking the place of parents and is failing in every way. The killing of nine children and near deaths of 10 more by CYFD is not good parenting. GH

Last year Trump did more damage to our relationship with the European Union than has happened in the past eight decades. Russia or China couldn't do anything to split our alliance with the EU. Ironically, our own president has succeeded in sowing mistrust to a destabilizing point. WS
