New Mexico's Truth-Finding Commission. Why all of a sudden are the Democrats concerned about what happened at ZORRO RANCH three years after closing everything down? Smells fishy and seems like a damage control team to me. SE

I hope the bipartisan committee investigating EPSTEIN'S RANCH will result in some real accountability, but I’m not holding my breath. Rich people find ways to escape justice. JH

The New Mexico Legislature budgeting $45 million to renovate two FOOTBALL STADIUMS while removing $26 million that was earmarked to fund a small 1% cost-of-living increase for educators once again shows where priorities really fall in this state. BV

Actor ROBERT DUVALL was great as a Hollywood actor not just because his performances were outstanding but because he kept his political opinions to himself. A main reason Hollywood is dying is not because it is producing lousy flicks but because many actors are too politically involved. GH

Salaries for legislators is long overdue and I believe a salary of $64,000 is enough to support one person in an apartment. This will encourage YOUNG PEOPLE into serving as legislators which is really community service in a way having to network and meet people in their community. EN

NM ranked No. 47 in a recent RANKING OF STATES on "what citizens value most." The rankings were based on several categories, including crime, education, economics, health care, infrastructure, environment and fiscal stability. If you were to listen to the happy talk from the Roundhouse, you would think we were No. 1. WT

Thanks to Bob Trapp and his column about the US FLAG being co-opted by MAGA. How can you be a super patriot like MAGAs like to claim and stand back and let the USA be destroyed by an orange dictator wannabe? Our flag deserves so much better than MAGA. GB

Please take your own container to a restaurant if you want to save the planet from STYROFOAM. Styrofoam is cheap and small businesses can only afford them for leftovers. Get in the habit of taking your own container. Help the planet. CE

Oil and gas companies spent millions of dollars to defeat a bill to establish better guidelines for CLEAN AIR AND WATER in NM. Wouldn't it be much more productive to use that money to actually improve the mechanisms for controlling emissions? We all need a safe environment. DZ

ICE agents wear MASKS to obscure their identity for their own and their families' protection, primarily due to doxing, and physical daily threats. Antifa and other protesters wear masks which obscure their identity too. NRG

Just wondering who ultimately pays for FREE DAY CARE in the state of New Mexico? The taxpayers? Or will the tax from cannabis sales take care of it? RN

State Rep. Randall Pettigrew suggests SECESSION for southeastern New Mexico. I'd bet $100 of my own money that he can't name three substantive things that could be gained if secession were approved. Like so many Republicans, being the victim is his preference. That way he can always do nothing. TT

Now that the legislative session is over, we are left trying to reconcile why teachers and other public servants (were almost) deprived of a miniscule 1% increase in pay, but UNIVERSAL CHILD CARE is doled out to anybody that wants it, without regard to income. Unbelievable. RF

The next time Congress decides to SHUT DOWN the government, our elected senators and representatives, Republicans and Democrats, and their staffs should be the only people who work without pay. They should be required to stay in Washington and do the work they were elected to do. MD

New Mexico, it's time to lean on Sens. Heinrich and  Luján to support the SAVE AMERICA ACT in the Senate. It is a common sense, no-brainer bill that is favored by 85% of Americans. What are they afraid of, fair elections? Start representing New Mexicans. SV

The Legislature desires a salary? Then offer voters something in exchange, legislative TERM LIMITS. DS

Whitney Holland, teachers union chief, says the lack of a raise for teachers (would have been) a "kick in the teeth." Let me tell you what's a kick in the teeth: NM SCHOOLS still woefully underperforming in spite of significant raises for three years and now lower health insurance costs. ML
