So are we going to change the name of an AVENIDA  back to Stadium Boulevard? Or should we continue our naming policy and change Gibson to the Bill Richardson and Jeffrey Epstein Expressway? JB

At the very least Albuquerque should rename the whole avenida after DOLORES HUERTA instead of having it named after her rapist. NR

Our mayor says we are sitting on billions and billions of dollars, so why are a couple of city councilors wanting to raise the GROSS RECEIPTS TAX? If these councilors don't want to use some of the billions then give some of it back to us taxpayers. KK

Among other things, Councilor Brook Bassan wants to increase SANITATION WORKER pay. Yes, they deserve a raise. Here's a possible revenue source: reduce Mayor Tim Keller's bloated staff. ESJ

NM and specifically Bernalillo County are becoming too costly for SENIORS. NM is one of only eight states that tax Social Security. The 2026 COLA was 2.8% while Part B Medicare premium rose almost 10%, and property taxes rise 3% every year! How about a break? AY

POTUS' attack on the rule of law and anyone who questions or disagrees with him equals war on the American people. The betrayal of trust and confidence in government amounts to treason. MY

If a dehumanizing social media post from the current president depicting the first Black president and first lady as animals doesn't cross a "RED LINE" for a local editorial board, civic group or elected leaders from either party, it raises the question of what would actually trigger a response. Could it be that Donald Trump does not understand how a DEMOCRACY works? He chided the prime minister of the U.K. for having to consult with his government and asked why, if he was boss. So he should just join the US in the war effort without them. Works for Trump. CE

Our governor signed a law in direct conflict with FEDERAL LAW. Doesn't she understand? I hope the feds file against her. If you enter the U.S. illegally you have committed a misdemeanor and you should be deported. Is NM above the law? JRH

The three OTERO commissioners had their heads down when their pictures were being taken. I wonder if they were ashamed of what they were caught doing. Are they personally profiting off the private prison? Like health care, prisons should never be private. Profit will always supersede care. EN

As a veteran, I truly believe Trump (in a ball cap with a suit) disrespected the dignified transfer of our FALLEN WARRIORS by his presence and rendering a salute. And using a photo of the dignified transfer for raising funds … disgraceful. BB

Americans pay more for health care than any other developed country, with mediocre outcomes. Yet the other countries, with better outcomes, have UNIVERSAL COVERAGE. It’s time for change. Gradually extend traditional Medicare. Medicare is familiar; it works. For profit-health insurance makes no sense today. WDS
