The Las Vegas Raiders have signed Zach Gentry, the Eldorado High graduate and former Pittsburgh Steelers TE, to their active roster.

Gentry, who was let go by the Steelers before the regular season began, had been on the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad.

Raiders' starting TE Michael Mayer has a toe injury and didn't play Monday. He hasn't practiced all week and is listed as "questionable" for Sunday's game at the Indianapolis Colts.

On Wednesday, the Raiders' depth chart listed Austin Hooper and Gentry behind Mayer.

The 6-foot-8 Gentry was the star quarterback for the Eagles in 2014 and graduated from Eldorado in 2015 before playing at Michigan in college. He was drafted by the Steelers in the fifth-round in 2019 and played four seasons for Pittsburgh, playing 40 games and starting 25 over the past two seasons.
