The Ice Wolves NAHL team hosts the El Paso Rhinos for the South Division best of three quarterfinals this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday if necessary. The winner of this series will advance to the division semifinals and continue on the road to the Robertson Cup. LAST WEEK: This past week the Ice Wolves were off, allowing time to recuperate and prepare for their playoff run. The Ice Wolves finished the regular season two weeks ago against the Colorado Grit, splitting the two-game series. The games saw a pair of fights as well as a penalty shot, raising the tensions and the stakes of the game as the Grit fought to secure a playoff position. RECORDS AND STANDINGS: The Ice Wolves come into playoffs sitting in fourth place of the South Division, securing them the home ice advantage for the quarterfinals. The Rhinos hold fifth place in the division. PLAYERS TO KNOW: Captain, Ethan Hull, leads the team with 44 points with 15 goals and 29 assists over the course of the season regular season. Andy Earl leads the team in goals with 23. Both come into playoffs as players to watch as the team battles it out for the Robertson Cup. DETAILS: The team plays at 6:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, if necessary, at the Outpost Ice Arenas.
