La Cueva announces 2025 Hall of Fame inductees
La Cueva High School’s Hall of Fame Class for 2025 includes individuals who stretch back to the early 1990s.
The group was formally introduced last week.
The list starts with longtime baseball assistant coach Rick Ingle (1991-2023) who was part of nine state championships for the Bears and always was regarded as one of New Mexico’s top varsity assistant coaches. He also worked 17 years as a counselor at La Cueva and spent nearly four decades working in Albuquerque Public Schools.
Cody Hall (2008) is one of the most elite and decorated tennis players in the state in this century. He was a four-time individual state champion at La Cueva, and was part of four state championship teams. He carded a 125-3 record in his prep career, and later went on to be a team MVP at the Air Force Academy.
Michelle Black Downey (1994) was a three-year standout for La Cueva girls soccer, and also played varsity basketball for two seasons. She also was a student athletic trainer. Later, she was a four-year soccer starter for the Lobos.
Megan Reismeyer Finke (1996) swam four seasons for the Bears, and was a member of the school’s first state championship team. She also was an All-American swimmer. Later, she swam for Northern Arizona.
Kait King Sullivan (2003) earned four basketball letters at La Cueva, where she was an all-state player who set a school record in 3-pointers. She also had two varsity seasons of golf. She was a four-year starter at the University of Denver, where she continued her 3-point excellence.
Beau Hightower (2002) was an all-state football player at La Cueva, and also an all-district wrestler. He also competed in track and field. Later, he played college football at Colorado State and UNM.
La Cueva will announce its 2026 Hall of Fame inductees in the fall.
