Mariachis, Bark in the Park and more: Isotopes announce 2025 promotional schedule
The Albuquerque Isotopes announced their 2025 promotional schedule Friday, featuring 47 games with promotions ranging from dollar hot dogs to Dukes Retro Night.
The Triple-A franchise will play six games as the Mariachis de Nuevo México and host 16 postgame fireworks shows with 14 giveaways spread across the calendar. Theme nights such as Green Chile Cheeseburgers Night (July 19) also return to the schedule. The Isotopes play home games on Easter, Father’s Day and the Fourth of July.
Individual game tickets can be purchased starting Feb. 24. Promotions and corresponding dates could be subject to change.
Fans interested in going to all six of the Isotopes’ well-attended Mariachis de Nuevo México games — and taking part in select giveaways — can purchase a Mariachis “6-pack” starting on Feb. 12. The package, which ensures a seat at all six of the regularly sold-out Mariachis nights, costs $145; this season’s Mariachis giveaways include ponchos (April 5), jerseys (May 4) and low rider bobbleheads (July 5) on the wildly popular Lowriders Night.

Other giveaways include Orbit beanies on Opening Night (April 1), cowbells as part of Country Night (May 30), hats on Pride Night (June 1) and lunch bags (Aug. 3). Over 20 other games will also have unique themes such as First Responders Night and Nacho Average Wednesday.
Dukes Retro Night — one of the most popular themes — will be Aug. 2. An induction ceremony for the newest members of the Albuquerque Baseball Hall of Fame will be held before the game.
Coaching staff
Isotopes manager Pedro Lopez and the rest of his coaching staff will return this season, the team announced Friday.
Previously the Isotopes hitting (2021) and bench coach (2022), Lopez holds a 135-164 record entering his third season with the team. He will be joined by hitting coach Jordan Pacheco, pitching coach Chris Michalak and bench coach Michael Ryan.
A former catcher in the San Diego Padres, Milwaukee Brewers and Houston Astros organizations, Lopez has a 1,105-1,151 record in more than 20 seasons as a manager.
He was promoted in February 2023 to his role as the eighth manager in Isotopes franchise history, replacing current Colorado Rockies third base and infield coach Warren Schaeffer.
Lopez’s first team struggled out the gate to a 27-48 record (last in the Pacific Coast League) before a 41-34 second half set up a 68-82 finish. In 2024, Albuquerque put together a nearly identical season, struggling in the first half before finishing strong for a 67-82 record.
Pacheco, an Albuquerque native, La Cueva High School graduate and former UNM baseball player, is entering his fourth season as the Isotopes hitting coach. In his three seasons with the club, Albuquerque has finished among the PCL’s top four in batting average and home runs, including a league-leading 240 homers in 2022.
Michalak, a former pitcher for the Albuquerque Dukes and Isotopes, will return for his third season as the club’s pitching coach. Albuquerque finished second-to-last or last in team ERA in his first two seasons with the club.
Ryan is entering his second season as Albuquerque’s bench coach after coaching and managing in the Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago Cubs organizations.
