MMA: Miller, Romero ready for battle on Friday (Dec. 6)

Albuquerque MMA fighters Ty Miller and James Romero successfully made weight on Thursday for their fights on Friday’s LFA card in Commerce, California.

Miller (5-0) weighed in at 171 pounds for his fight against Brazil’s Arthur Barros (4-1). Barros weighed in at 169.6 pounds.

Romero (2-0) weighed 185.6 pounds for his fight against Jake Woodley (4-0) of Huntington Beach, California. Woodley weighed in at 186 pounds.

MEANS SURGERY: Brenda Gonzales Means, wife of Moriarty MMA veteran Tim Means, posted on Facebook that her husband was undergoing “long awaited” neck surgery on Friday.

Means, 33-17-1 with one no contest as a pro and an NHB-FIT teammate of Miller and Romero, has been fighting MMA for more than 20 years.
