Vote: High school football star of Week 11
Here's a look at the high school football players who filled the stat sheets in Week 11. Which player should be this week's star? Cast your vote below.
William Bradford, jr., PK, Valley
I have noted before in this space my affinity for excellent high school placekickers. And so for our final list of the 2025, I want to include Bradford, who kicked four field goals for the Vikings on Saturday against Rio Grande, covering 20, 23, 35 and 47 yards.
Elijah Melancon, sr., QB, Eunice
Elijah has made a couple of appearances in our Stars feature this fall, and he definitely earns his stripes. In the Cardinals’ matchup Friday with rival Jal, Melancon was 25-for-28 for 366 yards and SEVEN touchdowns. He also surpassed 10,000 career pass yards in this game; he stands at 10,278 with the 2A playoffs still ahead.
Luke Cieremans, jr., QB, Los Lunas
The Cieremans family sure knows how to produce prolific quarterbacks. Cieremans threw for approximately 350 yards and five scores Saturday versus Valley, and the shortest of his five TD passes covered 36 yards as Cieremans consistently slung the ball down the field.
Hershul Olloway Jr., jr., RB, St. Pius
What a regular season Olloway has had for the Sartans, and he helped send St. Pius into a playoff bye week in style on Saturday, with a 222-yard, four-touchdown effort against Manzano to clinch first place alone in District 2-4A.
Cross Figg, soph., ATH, Texico
All Figg did on Friday against Tularosa was rush for three touchdowns, catch three other passes for touchdowns, and he threw a 56-yard scoring pass for the Wolverines.
