Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Agustin lived a rich and fulfilling life, devoted to his passions, creativity, and deep family connections. He is survived by his beloved mother, Dolores (Lola) Quintero Smith, and his brother, Ricardo Agustin Smith, both residing in MedellÃn, Colombia. Agustin is also lovingly remembered by his life partner, husband Rodney Gene Smith of Sandia Park, New Mexico, and their three cherished dogs: Bucko, Henrietta, and Elsee. He leaves behind a legacy of love and treasured memories with his many nephews and nieces. A lover of the outdoors, Agustin found solace and joy in the mountains, where he often hiked and embraced the serenity of nature. His adventurous spirit extended to culinary exploration, as he delighted in discovering new restaurants and sharing meals with loved ones. Agustin also found inspiration in gardening and the arts, channeling his creativity through painting and drawing. He now rests peacefully, reunited with his sister, Patricia, and brother, Juan Cristobal, in heaven. A private service will be held with close family members. In honor of Agustin's memory, donations may be made to the Santa Fe Animal Shelter. Agustin will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He will always be remembered for his kindness, artistic spirit, and profound love for his family, animals, and friends.
