Anthony S. Franklin Anthony S. Franklin, 44, of Edgewood, New Mexico, passed away on January 11, 2025 after a tragic motorcycle accident. Anthony was born on May 20, 1980 and he is from Grand Junction, Colorado. He received his associates in applied science from Central New Mexico Community College, and was enjoying a promising career as a software engineer at Brightly. Anthony is survived by one brother, Jesse Kemp of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, as well as numerous friends who loved him and his uplifting presence. He adored his two dogs, a Cane Corso named Lokey and a Shepherd mix named Hardy. People who knew Anthony marveled at his intelligence, as he was an avid chess player and voracious book reader. Anthony favored the mountains of New Mexico and Southern Colorado, and on many weekends he could be found enjoying road trips and camping in our region's beautiful environment. He cherished riding his Amazon 250 motorcycle. Anthony left words on his LinkedIn page that can inspire us all: "As a software developer, I find so much satisfaction in seeing my own creations come to life. I love finding and fixing bugs and trying to tweak the program to get it to do just one more thing or to look just a tiny touch better. It is the first thing I've done in my life that has provided me with satisfaction. It has even become my hobby! My point is, never believe it is too late to find your path!"
