Cherif Porter-Park Lara It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our daughter Cherif Porter-Park Lara on November 22, 2024, in Albuquerque, NM. Cherif was born in Spokane, Washington on November 22, 1971, to her parents Ona Porter and Armand Lara. Cherif experienced a beautiful life, though sadly it was cut short at the age of 53. Unfortunately, she passed away on the day of her 53rd birthday due to the complications of Multi-sclerosis (MS), a terrible illness that debilitated her for approximately 30 years. Cherif leaves behind her mother Ona Porter Lara, father, Armand Lara, daughter Rand Porter Park, sisters, Jami Porter Lara, Emily Porter Rand, Jessika Marquez, Xiomara Fulp, stepmothers Miriam Rand and Socorro Lara, niece Zoe Fulp, nephews, Christian and Alexander Boling and uncounted dear friends. Cherif graduated from La Cueva High School in Albuquerque, NM in 1989 and from William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri, in 1994. Cherif passed away in Peace in South Valley Care Center, Albuquerque, NM. Despite her having passed away at a young age, she lived her life to the fullest. She was always sincere and kind to everyone that crossed her path. She literally didn't have a mean bone in her body and always extended a welcoming hand to all. A Memorial Service will take place on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 3:00pm at French Mortuary located at: 1111 University Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
