DeVere Blair Berquist DeVere Blair Berquist, 58, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2025, with his loving wife at his side. Born in Santa Maria, California on May 8, 1966, the family moved to Utah in 1973 and later to Albuquerque in 1978. He attended Our Lady of Fatima Grade School and graduated from Menaul School in 1985. As the youngest of three, he had many fond memories fishing in northern CA and hunting in UT. He will always be remembered as a dedicated employee, hard worker, and "kid at heart". He took a great deal of pride in his work, proving his dedication through his determined work ethic. He was the beloved husband of Cathie Westjohn Berquist, recently married but partners for more than 30 years. He will always be affectionately remembered by sister, Deborah Berquist Vehar; and dearest brother, Don Berquist. Special friend, Steven Hinken graciously stayed by his side til the end. He leaves behind his adored furry companion, Caliber. A special word of thanks to Eliana Vehar and the care given through Hospice. A visitation followed by a rosary will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at FRENCH-Lomas.
