Kathy Casaus On December 29, 2024, after a short illness at the age of 83, Kathy D. Casaus, who was the matriarch of the Casaus family, took the hand of the Lord and danced her way to Heaven. Kathy was married for 54 years to her soulmate, Erminio, who preceded her in death in 2016. The home and heart of her family, Kathy had four children, Cathy, Oretta, Elaine, and Manuel, whom she raised in a happy and loving home, and for whom she modeled how to be independent and thoughtful adults. As a grandmother of eight, great-grandmother of seven, and great-great-grandmother of three, Kathy was the'fun granny'taking the kids out on adventures and spoiling them rotten. A naturally beautiful woman, Kathy always looked at least 10 years younger than she was. She was such a blessing to all that knew her. She touched the lives of so many people across multiple generations. Her smile was made of sunshine and her heart was solid gold. She saw the good in everyone and looked for the positive in all situations. She could make a friend anywhere she went. Kathy gave wonderful advice and told the best stories. She had a great love for the Lord and taught her children to put their faith in Him. Kathy really enjoyed shopping, and could spend hours in the same store and still not be ready to leave. She was selfless, always thinking of others, and found joy in making others smile. One of her favorite songs was "Hi, Baby, Que Paso" and she'd be the first one on that dance floor snapping her fingers and dancing the night away. Kathy loved Raisin Cane's and KFC chicken and was also known for the best enchiladas and homemade tortillas. She was generous, kind, smart, and witty, truly the most beautiful soul to touch the earth. Kathy Has now been reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Erminio along with many other friends and loved ones that have gone before her. Kathy leaves behind a legacy of love. She is survived and will be greatly missed by her children, her family, and all who knew her.
