Richard R Ruminski Richard Ruminski passed away peacefully on Dec. 27th, 2024. Rick was a resident of Albuquerque since 1956. He graduated from UNM with a MFA in Architecture and worked at UNM finishing his career as manager of the Remodel Dept. heading a team of architects, engineers and design consultants. Rick loved hiking in the mountains and spending time with his late companion, Claudia Romero. Together, they took in and loved many dogs. Rick was a skilled musician, playing bass guitar in various bands and was a supporter of the Lobos and Dukes. His early love of drag racing led him to rebuild many engines and he competed in ABQ and occasionally Amarillo and Denver. Rick was a devoted son to his late parents, Frank and Barbara Ruminski. Rick will be missed by his brother, Ronald Ruminski; and nieces, Katie, Ellen and Beth. Rick also leaves behind many lifelong friends. He will be remembered for his humor, generosity and caring loyalty he gave to his friends and family. A Funeral Mass will be held at Assumption Catholic Church, Jan. 27, 2025 at 11 AM.
